Meet Coach
Courtney Larsen

Coach Courtney Larsen brings more than skill to the court—she brings lived experience, perspective, and a genuine passion for helping young athletes grow.

She first picked up a basketball in sixth grade, and the game quickly became her foundation. By her senior year of high school, she surpassed 1,000 career points and went on to play Division I basketball at Prairie View A&M University in Texas—home to some of the nation’s toughest competition.

At 5-foot-8, Courtney played point guard with a competitive edge and high IQ. Nicknamed the “White Tiger,” she led her team in steals, three-point shooting, and assists—not by seeking attention, but by consistently showing up, doing the work, and making her teammates better.

Today, Coach Larsen pours that same energy into training students from elementary through high school. She helps them master the fundamentals—how to shoot, rebound, defend, and move with purpose—but just as importantly, she teaches them how to lead, listen, work hard, and stay grounded.

Her coaching goes beyond drills and footwork. It’s about building character, resilience, and confidence—qualities that translate far beyond the game.

Much of her approach was shaped by her college coach, the legendary Cynthia Cooper-Dyke—an Olympic gold medalist, WNBA MVP, and one of the most respected minds in basketball.

Coach Larsen’s story isn’t about flash or fame—it’s about showing what’s possible with focus, discipline, and heart.
